It may come as a surprise to learn that the Legacy or gifts supporters leave the IPCC in their Wills play a vital part in the key areas of our work – buying raised bogs, blanket bogs and fens. Remembering IPCC by leaving a bequest – no matter how small – is a wonderful way of ensuring that the beauty and wonders of the bog continue to enrich our lives in the future.
It is a gift for which you will be remembered, for a very long time to come. Such a gift will allow you to continue helping the environment in perpetuity.
If you decide now to help IPCC and the Save the Bogs Campaign by remembering us in your Will we would grateful if you would let us keep in touch with you by letting us know of your decision by completing the form provided on our leaflet entitled: A Love of Bogs Lasts Longer than a Lifetime which you can download here (IPCC Legacy and Wills Leaflet). This helps us to plan for the future.
The names of those who help IPCC and our wild bogs by Leaving a Legacy are entered in our annual report and accounts and are acknowledged in our supporter magazine Peatland News.

How to Leave IPCC a Bequest
It is always advisable to seek professional advice from a solicitor. The ways you can help the Irish Peatland Conservation Council in your will are as follows:
Residuary Bequest: the remainder of your estate once relations and family have been looked after.
Specific Bequest: a fixed donation
Codicil: adds a bequest to an existing will.
If you would like further information about how to make a bequest or legacy to the IPCC, download a copy of the IPCC Legacy and Wills Leaflet now. You can also contact the Chief Executive of the IPCC who can discuss the matter in confidence and suggest appropriate legal counsel if required.
